Úlfur Eldjárn is a composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer from Reykjavík, Iceland.
His works include compositions for film, TV, theatre and commercials. He’s released one solo album, Field Recordings: Music from the Ether, where he experimented, amongst other things, with mechanical instruments from the middle ages and modern day robotics and artificial intelligence.
He graduated from the compositional department of the Icelandic Academy of the Arts in 2013. His graduation project, String Quartet no. ∞, is an attempt at creating a non-linear composition, employing modules that can be combined, layered or repeated in any manner or order. The piece can therefore be assembled in infinitely many different versions.
Úlfur has performed with a few pop bands through the years, most notably as a member of Apparat Organ Quartet.
